Generally, emergency gates require an opening of at least 3.5 meters. The opening time is not specified but is typically around 5 minutes. They are available in various containment classes, the most common being H2 and H4, tested according to ENV 1317-4 or EN 1317-2 standards.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>At this point, clarification is necessary, but let&#8217;s proceed step by step.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Containment classes determine which specific vehicles should be used, as indicated below:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><strong>Class H2:<\/strong> Impact test TB 11 with a 900 kg vehicle at 100 km\/h and TB 51 with a 13-ton bus at 70 km\/h.<\/li><li><strong>Class H4b:<\/strong> Impact test TB 11 with a 900 kg vehicle and TB 81 with a 38-ton truck.<\/li><\/ul><p>Both impacts are performed with the <strong>vehicle at 20 degrees<\/strong> to the barrier&#8217;s axis.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The clarification concerns the impact point on the barrier. For example, when testing a barrier gate compliant with class H2, the standard establishes that a device with a length of 40 meters or less is a\u00a0<strong>transition<\/strong> between two longitudinal barriers.
